    Here's a heads up for anyone buying the skillet. A Vinchef needs to be seasoned before using because it's more like a cast iron than regular non-stick. Wash the pan with warm soapy water. Sprinkle the pan with veggie oil. Use a sponge or dry rag to distribute it evenly. Heat the pan on the stove for about 3 minutes, during this time the oil will be absorbed (Be careful not to ignite ) Clean the pan with paper towel to remove excess oil.

    For me personally, I think Filet is overrated. For the price it taste worse than Ribeye. Sure its buttery soft, but any decent cut can be soft. The difference is miniscule. For the price, both ribeye and filet are meh. Chuck Eye is the real deal. Super beefy. Great fat content. Super soft as well. Easy to cook. Pappy's seasoning 50% sodium or Cowboy Rub, sear both sides on low to render the far. Turn up heat to max, 1 min each side. Done.

    • @stevescooking
      @stevescooking 8 днів тому

      I agree, filet is delicious when cooked right but way overrated. I have to admit I love chuck eye over ribeye, definitely more flavour, I like them low and slow 👍🏻

    You did this beautiful job to create this pate with fresh ingredients, then killed it with garlic powder instead of using either freshly grated garlic or freshly made garlic paste for a slightly sweet twist to the flavour profile. Please! If you’re using all fresh ingredients… USE ONLY ALL FRESH INGREDIENTS!

    • @stevescooking
      @stevescooking 19 днів тому

      Adding fresh raw garlic to the pate would’ve been too strong and certainly not sweet. If I were going to use fresh garlic in the pate, I would roast it first which makes it nice and sweet and less harsh. Garlic powder is delicious in certain dishes and it works with this pate.

    In my humble opinion, if you say "curry" without adding any country to it who has curry in the cuisine, you don't really need to add "it's not authentic" because based on where you're from, someone will always say it's not authentic cause it's not done the way it is in their country.
